Malta Family Photo Circa 1963 - From Left to Right - my sister Rita Calleja at age 7, my cousin Joyce Caruana with her brother and my cousin Charlie Caruana, their mother and my Aunt Rita Caruana (Zia Rita), my brother George Alfred Calleja at age 5, Uncle Anthony Caruana,(Ziu Ninu), my mother's brother and Aunt Rita' husband, my mother Teresa Caruana Calleja, and me, Anthony Calleja. We are all at Ziu and Zia's in Paola, Malta.

photo of my mother, brother Ziu Zaru, and Zia Barbara. They have visited us in California and Washington many times, and I love them very much. Ziu Zaru served in the British Navy during World War Two and survived three ship sinkings. Zia Barbara loved to make us laugh. She had a fantastic sense of humor.

photo from my last visit to Malta. This one is super special because it is of our beloved Ziu Toninu, Anthony Caruana. Today in Malta, it is the 7th of February 2019. It is also the date of his birth. He was born on the 7th of February 1924 in the town of Qormi, Malta. He would be 95 Today. He passed away on March the 16th 2018, but he is alive in our hearts and our souls. He is survived by his son Charles Caruana, daughter Joyce Figallo, and Grandson Adrian Figallo, his wife Liliia, a few cousins, many nephews, and nieces. Ziju Toninu was my mother's brother. A loving Man, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Uncle, Friend. He was the perfect example of Gods Love. Last of his Generation. He has now reunited with all of our family and Ancestors up in Heaven above. May God Bless him and Our Family. Wishing you all Peace and Aloha. Anthony xoxox
