Engagement photography is often a couple’s first opportunity to present themselves to the world as a union. Although photographs taken prior to the wedding are not a new practice, they have become more and more commonplace in recent years. Part of the uptrend of this practice is the shift away from stuffy, conventional shots. As an engagement photographer I opt for candid, relaxed pictures that really showcase a couple’s personality.

Some people shy away or dread engagement photography because they’re concerned about how they will look in their pictures.Here are some tips to ensure that your photography session comes out looking great.

It is importaint you feel comfortable with and trust your photographer, you’ll be more relaxed.

Wear something flattering. Your engagement photographs are not the time for a new outfit. You want something you feel confident and comfortable wearing. Since these are candid shots, you may be getting into lots of different poses, so you want clothing that you can move about in, isn’t too tight or constricting, and makes you feel great!

Relax and enjoy your fiancé/fiancée. Make the day you get your engagement photographs taken a relaxing one. Schedule it for a day when the two of you can spend some time together before the shoot. Have lunch, chat, and hold hands. On the way there, turn up some tunes you both love and sing along.

Selecting an interesting spot. The background for a couple’s engagement photographs is often laid-back, but sometimes they’re offbeat and interesting. You may have a sentimental space you want to use. The location of your first date, perhaps, or a favorite location you two have may make a great backdrop. Some couples choose to make their shots a beach for sharing something personal, like a shared interest. Shots taken during a cafe', or an outdoor run, or at the bowling alley are distinctive and tell a bit more about you as a couple.

As your photographer I take lots of shots from different angles aswell as combination of posed unpose candids.

• (10) 4 x 6 prints
• (1) DVD with 10 edited image files of your choice printable to 12 x 18 inches.
• The disc also includes all of the unedited image files that were taken during the session.
• Complimentary disc with all of the unedited image files will be given to you at the end of the session.
• There is a 90 minute time limit on the photo session.
• Includes personal copyright for reprints.
• We do request the use of 3 images to keep our work fresh and Credit given to the photographer when images are posted on the web.

• Oahu Location.
• (15) 4 x 6 prints
• (1) DVD with 15 edited image files of your choice printable to 12 x 18 inches.
• The disc also includes all of the unedited image files that were taken during the session.
• Complimentary disc with all of the unedited image files will be given to you at the end of the session.
• There is a 2 hour time limit on the photo session.
• Includes personal copyright for reprints.
• We do request the use of 7 images to keep our work fresh and Credit given to the photographer when images are posted on the web.

Booking Procedures:-

• Session Bookings are First Come - First Serve.
• A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to Book and Secure all Session dates- remaining balance due at the end of the photo session.
• Payment for your session is by cash, check, or credit card via Google Checkout.
• As a Courtesy - Session Date Requests are reserved and held for 5 days from the time we receive your initial Inquiry.
• You will receive a reply to your Inquiry within 1 or 2 days.
• Once the details of the photo session are ironed out you will then receive an email an attached Agreement based on the Service you are Booking.
• All prices are subject to change without notice.
• Please call for the latest prices.
• Package Prices do not include Shipping and Handling.
• FedEx Shipping and Handling in the US is $25. - International FedEx Shipping and Handling is $35.

Planning For Your Session:-

Planning is the key to a successful Photo Shoot!!! If you are visiting Hawaii and will be on island for a few days before our photo session, It is very important to stay hydrated by drinking lots of water and protecting your skin by using sunscreen. Come well rested and ready to SHINE:)

• Arrival: Never Arrive Late. Arrive 10 minutes early. Never arrive more than 20 minutes earlly
• Clothing: Solid colored clothing photographs much better than stripes, plaids, and patterns. Please take a moment to revisit my portfolio and review the photos and see what might work best for you. For overcast days I recommend a splash of pastel colors. It is always a good idea to bring a change of clothes to the photo session in case you get wet or dirty.
• Hair: Have options for hair in case it's windy the day of the photo session. It's always a good idea to bring a brush, comb, hair spray or jell.
• Makeup: Have touch up makeup on hand in case of shine.
• Jewelry: I don't recommend wearing watches or expensive jewelry during the photo shoot..
• What to Bring: Drinking water, a snack, sunscreen, towel.
• Security Note: Do not bring expensive items to the photo session. Make good use of your hotel's safe and leave expensive items at the hotel. Never leave important possessions in your unattended parked vehicle.

Making Your Photo Selection and Photo Editing Procedures:-

• The Disc you will receive at the end of the photo session is the proofs or unedited Jpeg files.
• Once you have reviewed the proofs, you would email me the image numbers to the images you would like edited.
• You also have the option to add images you would like edited to your photo package.
• We would then edit the images you would like edited.
• You will then receive another disc with the edited images printable to 12x18 and 4x6 prints.

Things To Consider:-

• Photo Montage images are $75. per image and must be requested at time of booking.
• Additional DVD's are $25.USD each.
• Unedited Raw Files are $18. USD each
• Edited PSD Files for Super Enlargements are $50.USD each
• Additional Edited prints and Files are $25.USD each.

Cancellation or Rescheduling Policy:-

• A MINIMUM NOTICE OF 72 HOURS IS REQUIRED FOR CANCELLATION OR RESCHEDULING OF YOUR SESSION.
• If a notice of cancellation is received within less than 72 hours, then the full ammount of the session will be due.
• If a reschedule date is available a $50. reschedule fee would apply.

Re-Shoot Policy:-

• We cannot offer re-shoots due to dissatisfaction with clothing, facial expressions, hair, wind or other items beyond our control.
• In the event that you would like to scheduale another shoot due to one of the above.
• We will offer a re-shoot at a 25% discouint.
• Re-shoots must be scheduled & completed with in 2 weeks from initial session.
